Family Picnic, Rib Cook-Off This Sunday Hosted by C.A.T.I.F.
Celebrating All That Is Feminine hosts their 5th annual fundraiser in downtown Palatine, with fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Since 2009, C.A.T.I.F. [Celebrating All That Is Feminine] has raised nearly $130,000 from a purely grassroots level, to benefit organizations whose mission mirrors that of its own: to empower, encourage and support women and children in crisis. Learn more about C.A.T.I.F. through an interview with founder, Kara Cermak.
The non-profit organization’s 5th annual Family Picnic Rib Cook-Off will be held on Sunday, September 13th in downtown Palatine.
Events and activities for the whole family will include live entertainment, the Chicago Bears opener on a big screen TV, a bouncy house, dunk tank, kiddie’s activities and more! Admission is free, and food and event tickets are $1 each.
Charity beneficiaries are the Palatine Opportunity Center ROLE Program, which encourages leadership by women through education, employment, literacy and community involvement, along with The Well of Mercy, which provides education and support for single pregnant women who lack a support system around them.
The Family Picnic Rib Cook-Off will be held on Sunday, September 13 from noon until 5 p.m. on Station Street (this is an outdoor event) in front of Lamplighters.
