Lake Zurich Flames Coaches gathered at the old firehouse on April 22nd for an evening of football talk and pizza with Lake Zurich High School Varsity Coaches Dave Proffitt and Aaron Towne. Coach Proffitt praised the Flames organization and it's coaches for doing a great job of preparing Flames youth football players that have gone on to play for the Lake Zurich Bears high school football program over the years.
Coach Proffitt emphasized safety of the players, enjoying what you are doing, and playing with passion are all keys to a young player's success. He also mentioned that you can teach a kid a lot when they trip or fall down in life, more so then when they win all the time. The Flames are thankful for Coach Proffitt and Coach Towne for sharing their coaching experiences and philosophies with all of our coaches.
The meeting also included a Q&A session with the Flames Coaching Committee and Board members addressing topics on player safety, the NWYFL, and important dates coming up for coaches. We are looking forward to another great season of Flames football!
