A 41-year-old McCullom Lake man entered a blind guilty plea Monday to a sex assault charge for allegations he impregnated a 12-year-old girl after having sexual contact with her between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 2012, according to the Northwest Herald.
Rafael Rodriguez-Sanchez could now face between six and 30 years in prison and will be sentenced on July 10, according to the article.
The Northwest Herald reports the girl eventually miscarried the baby. Attorneys said Rodriguez-Sanchez lived with the girl in McCullom Lake but was not related to her while Rodriguez-Sanchez's attorney said the "sex was not forced."
