This free event will emphasize player health and safety, and include education on concussion awareness; heat, hydration and conditioning; and Heads Up Tackling technique.  Modeled after the event the NFL co-hosted with the Chicago Bears on October 29th, 2013, this event will be the first of its kind hosted by a youth football organization and could be a model for other groups to follow.

Football is a great game that offers unique rewards to all those that play it – whether at the youth level or NFL.  With the current national conversation about youth sports safety that is taking place, mothers are asking questions about whether they should let their sons play football.  Some are questioning whether the risks of football outweigh the rewards.  This event will provide hands-on answers to moms.  It will leverage the power of support from USA Football, NFL and the Chicago Bears providing access to health experts and NFL players in a comfortable environment to demonstrate to moms that there are better and safer ways to play the game of football.
