Want to Pay it Forward? Join C.A.T.I.F. in Palatine Feb. 27th!
C.A.T.I.F. is based in the northwest suburbs and raises funds for established non-profits who empower women and children in crisis.
There are a lot of non-profit organizations around, all of which are in need of, and worthy of support from the community at-large through their fundraising efforts.
One of those reputable organizations is hosting their 6th annual fundraiser in Palatine at the end of February, which is called, “Pay it Forward.” The organization behind this event, is called C.A.T.I.F. [Celebrating All That Is Feminine].
The reason behind the name of the event is simple…it was created by a group of professional women with a goal of pooling their resources and paying it forward-for the good of others who were experiencing crisis.

C.A.T.I.F. was founded informally in 2009, and became a 501 (c)(3) in 2012. Since their inception, the group has raised nearly $100,000 - and in turn donated those funds to Chicagoland non-profits who serve women and children in crisis.
This year’s beneficiaries will be the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, with a specific focus on funding programs for women returning from serving in our military. Some may not know that these brave women many times cannot afford basic necessities such as toiletries, clothing and everyday items, all of us take for granted. The Palatine Opportunity Center (POC) also will benefit from funds raised at the Pay it Forward event. This organization assists Palatine residents by connecting them to valuable resources available within the community.

The Pay it Forward event will have all of the expected activities, raffles, silent and live auctions, along with two happy hour cocktails and appetizers.
You also will learn in more depth the struggles that populations who will benefit from the event go through on a daily basis. The stories you hear will likely cause you to want to Pay it Forward, too.
The 6th annual Pay it Forward event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, February 27 at Durty Nellies, 180 N. Smith Street in Palatine. Tickets can be purchased at www.catifcharity.com.
