Watch out, Illinois: Tax hikes are coming for you

Even after Illinois’ state budget crisis gets resolved, there still could be difficult news to follow: tax hikes, and lots of them, depending on where you live. The whole state might see its income taxes inch up by a percentage point or so as lawmakers and Gov. Bruce Rauner try to find more revenue sources to fill in potential budget gaps. In Chicago, even more tax hikes could be on the horizon, including sales taxes and property taxes.
