Water Rate Increase In Lake Zurich
Village officials will implement a water rate increase that will come to an average of $8 a month.
LAKE ZURICH, IL - The village of Lake Zurich plans to soon implement a water rate increase.
The village said in a news release this week that a $1.50 per 1,000 gallon capital charge will be implemented, resulting in an average increase of $8 per month.
Proceeds from the rate increase will be water and sewer repairs and replacements.

"Based on recent experience, planned infrastructure projects are less disruptive to customers and can cost 30% less than emergency repairs triggered by a collapsed sewer or water main break," the village noted in a news release on the rate increase.
