Halloween Hoedown, Scarecrow Fest Planned This Weekend In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — As Halloween quickly approaches, Lemontster Days continues on Saturday and Sunday with the Village of Lemont's Halloween Hoedown and Lemont Township's Scarecrow Fest.

First up, on Saturday, is the Village's annual Halloween Hoedown in downtown Lemont. The event will kick off with a costume parade and contest at 12:30 p.m.

The event will also feature trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses, haywagon rides, children's activities, food and treats, and a frightening photo backdrop. The free event ends at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Then, on Sunday, the free Scarecrow Festival will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the township community center, 16300 Alba St. The free event will feature the scarecrow trail, kids crafts, games, a nature trail scavenger hunt, campfire and a hayride. The Lemont Juniorettes will also hold a fun run for children during the event.
