• Illinois American Water customers speak out on $129 million rate hike at Bolingbrook hearing (shawlocal.com) — Illinois American Water is seeking a $129 million rate hike that could significantly raise monthly water and wastewater bills for customers in Lemont and 147 other communities. At a packed Bolingbrook hearing, residents and consumer advocates blasted repeated increases and urged the Illinois Commerce Commission to reject or reduce the proposal, encouraging affected customers to speak out.
