Cops Trying To ID Man Who Ditched Cab Fare In Lockport

The man hailed the cab in Joliet, and was dropped off in Lockport.

LOCKPORT, IL — UPDATE: The suspect has been identified.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Lockport Police Department is trying to identify a man who never paid his fare to a cabbie. The theft of services incident occurred Tuesday, Oct. 24. Police said the man hailed a cab in Joliet, and was driven to the area of Gougar Road and Iroquois Drive in Lockport.

According to police, the male suspect told the cabbie he needed to go into his house for his wallet in order to pay the fare. He exited the cab, walked in between two houses, and never returned.
