Will County Accepting Applications For Deputy Sheriff

The deadline to apply is 1 p.m. April 26.

JOLIET, IL - The Will County Sheriff's Merit Commission has announced that it is now accepting applications for the position of deputy sheriff. The application deadline is 1 p.m. April 26. The written test will take place on May 5.

According to the sheriff's department:

"We will be accepting a maximum of 250 applications and the test will be closed early if that limit is reached. Starting salary: $55,156.43 with benefits and uniforms. Applications must be downloaded from the Sheriff’s website at: www.willcosheriff.org. The sheriff's department also pointed out that "We will be accepting a maximum of 250 applications and the test will be closed early if that limit is reached.

"Applications must have official sealed college transcripts and/or DD214/DD215 AND the non-refundable processing fee attached. Mail or hand deliver the application and requirements to the Will County Merit Commission office at the address listed on the application before the deadline.

"All applicants will be notified by e-mail with the test details after their application has been reviewed and accepted."
