34 Pounds Of Pot Found In Grow House: Police
Two Zion men were taken into custody Friday for operating the grow house in Wisconsin.

RACINE, WI – Two Lake County men are in custody for allegedly running a marijuana grow house in Racine, Wis., authorities said Monday. Authorities arrested Joseph M. Mccarthy, 59, of 900 Tiffany Farms in Zion, and Christopher Neeve, 34, of 11839 W. Dotson in Zion, after executing a search of a home at 2037 Erie St. in Racine just before 3 p.m. on Friday. While searching the residence, police found 90 marijuana plants in pots.
Of those plants, 75 had been harvested with 34.5 pounds of marijuana hanging and drying, according to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff's Office.
The search warrant was obtained after an investigation launched last October into the home, which was not occupied, police said. Police learned at that time the home was being used as a marijuana grow house. Agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit were conducting surveillance at the home when Mccarthy and Farms exited the home, police said.
