Libertyville Man Sentenced To 18 Years For Possession Of Child Sex Abuse Materials (patch.com) — Libertyville readers should know that a 27-year-old local man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to disseminating and possessing child sexual abuse material. Investigators searched his Libertyville home in 2024, and the Illinois Attorney General's Office led the prosecution with statewide law enforcement partners.

Boys Golf: Hersey Narrowly Claims Buffalo Grove Invite (journal-topics.com) — Libertyville's boys golf team placed seventh at the highly competitive Buffalo Grove Invite, but standout Parker McConnell stole the show with a 4-under-par 68 to win individual honors.
