David Adler Music and Arts Center Hosts 35th Annual Festival of the Arts in Historic Cook Park

The David Adler Music and Arts Center hosts the 35th Annual Festival of the Arts in Historic Cook Park, August 1-2nd, from 10am to 5pm.

The David Adler Music and Arts Center hosts the Annual Festival of the Arts, a juried arts festival in beautiful Cook Park, August 1 – 2 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Festival of the Arts.

The Festival of the Arts began as the Libertyville Art Show in 1953 and has grown to include over 60 nationally recognized artists. Festival patrons are able to enjoy the best of the region’s original art and live music, sample great food, and participate in a variety of activities for children, including a Youth Arts Festival for young artists. The David Adler Music and Arts Center is proud of the festival’s deep ties to the Libertyville community.

“Our Festival of the Arts is unique. It’s in the center of town. It’s local, intimate—not commercial--it’s a true festival,” says Adler Center Executive Director, Amy Williams.

The Festival of the Arts is organized by the not-for-profit David Adler Music and Arts Center and relies on local sponsors and volunteers. The Festival of the Arts provides artists with an opportunity to sell their work and meet their peers, and gives local arts patrons the chance to meet their favorite artists and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art.

“We are here to support the artists. We see many artists returning year after year, and the community returns year after year to see their favorite artists,” says Williams.

This year’s festival includes vibrant works by Carla Banks, photo-realistic cityscapes by Michael Normand, and bold minimalistic canvasses by Patricia Rodgers. Join the David Adler Music and Arts Center for the 35th Annual Festival of the Arts, August 1-2 in Cook Park.
