Forum Starz Wins First Place at Juniors' Division Dance Competition

Six members of Forum Starz of Talent Forum, in Libertyville, recently brought home blue ribbons and a first-place trophy from the Lake County Fair’s Dance-A Fair. The winners, all Lake County residents, included Amanda Anderson, Nicholas Dantes, Emma Illian, Autumn Jermakowicz, Emma Marsh, and Anna Vondrak.

These dancers were announced the winners after competing against 10 diverse dance groups in the competition’s Junior Division. Forum Starz performed “Dance with Me” at the Dance-A-Fair competition on Saturday, July 26.

“I am proud to see judging that recognized joyous, age-appropriate choreography and strong technique. Wholesome entertainment is what I always try to bring to Forum Starz. At a time where performers push the envelope of morality to gain attention, it does my heart good to celebrate these talented sweet kids,” says Richard Smith, director of Forum Starz.

Shelley Hoselton, Owner and Director of Talent Forum, says “I am so thrilled Forum Starz had such a successful season. Besides performing at Libertyville Days and numerous community performances, all the groups were honored at the Starbound Competition last May. How wonderful to end their season by winning the Dance-A Fair. I am so excited at how all ages, 6-18, are now joining in the fun.”

Form Starz is a competitive dance group for youths, is based out of Talent Forum in Libertyville, and is preparing to embark on its third season of competition.
