LAKE COUNTY, IL - Pablo Garcia of Wadsworth recently won $75,000 instantly in the Illinois Lottery.
Garcia, originally from Mexico, has lived in Wadsworth for 15 years, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.
He was at La Conchita Bakery, 1703 Washington Street in Waukegan, getting coffee and pastries when he decided to buy an Ultimate Crossword ticket. He took his ticket home to scratch it. “

When I saw that I won $75,000, I rushed to the closest gas station to confirm it. I didn’t even finish my coffee," he said.
He plans to put his winnings in the bank for now, according to the news release.

La Conchita Bakery received $750, one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
