Man Arrested (Again) For Storage Facility Burglaries
A man who was arrested last September for similar burglaries has struck again, police in Libertyville said.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – A 37-year-old Des Plaines man has been arrested for multiple burglaries that occurred at the Libertyville Public Storage facility, 1950 Kelley Court, in April and May, authorities said. Authorities identified Michael A. Lozada, of 10046 Holly Lane, Unit GN, in Des Plaines, as the suspect in the burglaries, which occurred between April 22 and May 17. Police said Lozada was charged with similar burglaries in Libertyville last September, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.
An investigation of the recent incidents led to the apprehension of Lozada by the Waukegan Police Department on May 23 during an attempted burglary in Waukegan, according to the report. Lozada was uncooperative with police, but authorities said enough evidence had been gathered to substantiate the issuance of an arrest warrant for the Libertyville Public Storage burglaries.
The warrant was served to Lozada at the Lake County Jail where he had been transferred from the Waukegan Police Department. During the recent Libertyville burglaries, Lozada was out on bond for another burglary committed in Waukegan as well as on probation for the 2017 Libertyville burglaries.
