Jamieson School has an AMAZING Level 1 Plus McTeacher's Night

Jamieson School held their second McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on Peterson Ave. in Chicago, on Thursday, April 26th.

Jamieson School held their second McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on Peterson Ave. in Chicago, on Thursday, April 26th. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school. It was a beautiful spring night. All the kids came to see their favorite teachers working. Just like Jamieson, the night was a Level 1 Plus. It was a truly amazing night. Thirty-nine Jamieson teachers and administrative staff worked the entire night to support the PBIS program at Jamieson.
The restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. The students and families were excited to see Principal Baughman, Assistant Principal Susan Paik, and many teachers behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.
So many amazing teachers worked from Jamieson. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, making Ice Cream treats, making drinks, working drive-thru and dressing in a pie costume where pies were sold for donations. All duties were executed with great enthusiasm and huge smiles on everyone's faces.
Ms. Hamano wore the pie costume the entire night. All the kids took pictures with her as she mingled with all the families. Some of the teachers that helped to sell the pies were Megan Kinsella and Beth Cha.
A special thank you goes to third-grade teacher Linda Murakami, who organized the entire event as well as all the staff who worked so graciously to help raise money for Jamieson. The school plans to put the money earned into the fund to purchase rewards for the positive behavior program at Jamieson which rewards the kids for good behavior. Jamieson strives to teach all the children to be good citizens.
