4 Kids, 2 Adults Hospitalized After Lisle Fire
Officials say a preliminary investigation points to the family's Christmas tree as the cause of the fire.

LISLE, IL — Four children and two adults were hospitalized Saturday after a fire destroyed a two-story home in suburban Lisle. The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department said a preliminary investigation indicates the fire may have been caused by the family's Christmas tree.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at around 8:40 a.m. in the 4700 block of Dumoulin Avenue, police told WLS.
Two adults and four kids between the ages of 3 and 12 were taken to area hospitals after the fire, according to officials.

Photos posted on Twitter by the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department show firefighters outside the home with a man and young child as fire engulfs the house and front porch. Fire officials initially said five people were taken to the hospital, but later updated that to six.
