The contest is on! Instead of hunkering down inside the next time it snows, get outside and get building! Share photos of your best snowman or snow sculpture by sending a picture of you and your creation, along with your phone number and address, to Laura at lcavazos@lisleparkdistrict.org. Submissions will be separated into two categories: ‘Classic Snowman’ and ‘Snow Sculpture,’ so get creative! This contest is open to Lisle Park District residents of all ages; winner will receive a plaque with your snowman photo.
The talented actors from Lisle Park District’s Theatre and Arts program are back with another dinner and show! This year, enjoy the comedic story of “The Curious Savage,” by John Patrick. An elderly widow has been left with millions, and intends to give the fortune away to people who wish to pursue their “foolish dreams,” but her stepchildren strongly object, committing her to a sanatorium where she finds true family. The fun takes place Saturday, February 8 at the Lisle Recreation Center at 1925 Ohio Street in Lisle. The night will begin with a cocktail hour at 6pm followed by dinner and the show at 7pm. Registration is open through January 31 by calling 630-964-3410 or visiting lisleparkdistrict.org. The resident/nonresident fee is $45/$60 and includes the show and dinner. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
