GoFundMe Started To Aid Lisle Township Food Pantry

"Good things are happening," Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat told Patch.

LISLE, IL — Local food pantries are feeling a pinch amid social distancing and the current new coronavirus shutdown, which makes the need for food greater, but has also impacted access to food donations. In the midst of these unprecedented times, the Lisle Township Food Pantry has started a GoFundMe to provide food for local families.

Lisle Village Trustee Sara Sadat, who organized the GoFundMe, told Patch,"The unemployment rate is really high right now and it's impacting all the people we care about in Lisle, especially those struggling to put food on their tables."

Sadat said funds go directly to Lisle Food Pantry. She urged residents to donate if they can, saying,"There's no better time to give than now when the need is so great."
