Lisle Coronavirus Update: 8 Cases Confirmed In Village
The news comes as DuPage County reports 346 total cases and 10 deaths.
LISLE, IL — As coronavirus cases surge throughout the state, Lisle is reporting eight cases of new coronavirus, according to recent information from the DuPage County Health Department. The news comes as the total coronavirus cases in Illinois approaches 6,000. As of Tuesday, the statewide death toll was at 100.
On Tuesday, Governor J.B. Pritzker also extended his stay-at-home order through April 30.
Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat told Patch she's "glad there are only eight cases." Sadat added that she is "hopeful that everyone will stick to the warnings and stay safe.”

Sadat told Patch the Lisle-area food pantry has an urgent need for donations. She said she has helped organize porch pickups, in which residents leave food donations on their porch to be collected at the end of the day.
"We’re finding creative ways of helping," Sadat said.

The Lisle Township Food Pantry has been distributing food in pre-packaged boxes since March 18 in an effort to keep community members safe from coronavirus. Sadat also told Patch that village trustee meetings have shifted to using Zoom meetings during the stay-at-home order in a further effort to keep trustees and community members safe.
