Lisle Police Chief Announces Plans To Retire
Police Chief David Anderson has been with the force for 28 years.

LISLE, IL - After 28 years, it's time for the Lisle police chief to hang up his hat. Police Chief David Anderson recently announced his plans to retire from the force effective Oct. 18.
In a statement Mayor Christopher Pecak said, "Though we are disappointed that Chief Anderson will no longer be part of our organization,we are happy for him and for the many good things that await him in the next chapter of his life."
A former member of the National Guard, Anderson was a patrol officer, a patrol sergeant, as well as Deputy Chief of the Lisle Police Department. He famously helped revive a heart attack victim in 2010, earning him special recognition from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District.

Mayor Pecak recommended Ron Wilke, the village's current Deputy Chief of Police, to replace Anderson as they search for a permanent replacement. Village trustees will vote on the recommendation Oct. 7.
