Lisle Police Officer Uses CPR To Save Man's Life
Officer Brett Lauten used CPR on an unresponsive man at a Lisle home, keeping him alive until paramedics arrived.

LISLE, IL - A Lisle police officer is credited with using CPR to save someone's life last week. The Lisle Police Department put out a congratulatory social media post commending the work of Officer Brett Lauten on Thursday, Nov. 2.
Lauten was called to a home in the 5600 block of Cascade Drive that day on a report of a man who was described as unresponsive, police said. He used an automated external defibrillator on the patient, who was believed to have been suffering from a cardiac condition.
When no shock was advised, Lauten performed CPR chest compressions until paramedics from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District arrived and performed more life-saving efforts.

The man was taken to Edward Hospital and began showing signs of life.
