New Lisle Train Station Signs Help Commuters With Connections
New modular system includes wayfinding signs and information panels.

LISLE, IL — The Lisle Train Station is helping commuters to downtown Chicago spots better understand their transportation options, thanks to some new signs. The Village of Lisle announced a new modular system of signs and panels is now up at the train station to make it easier for commuters to understand transportation connections between the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra and PACE transportation systems, and to make route information and scheduling more accessible. Lisle joins 19 other locations across the region in this program, and is now one of three locations in DuPage County, according to the Village.
Wayfinding signs direct customers to boarding areas at the station, while information panels also show details on schedules and routes for trains and buses.
According to the Village, the new tools are being provided through a partnership between the Village of Lisle and the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA). The new signs are an extension of those at several demonstration sites including Joliet’s Union Station, Davis Street in Evanston, and Van Buren Street in Chicago.
