New President Koski 'Honored' To Start At Morton Arboretum

Jill Koski will replace Gerald T. Donnelly, who is set to retire at the end of the month.

LISLE, IL — Jill Koski has been named as the new president of Morton Arboretum, taking the place of Gerald Donnelly, who is set to retire when September ends.

Prior to coming to the arboretum, Koski was CEO at Holden Forests and Gardens, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and Shedd Aquarium. This won't be Koski's first time working for Morton Arboretum, though, as she formerly served as its vice president of development.

In that role, Koski helped raise $70 million for initiatives tied to tree development, conservation and other efforts.

He added, "Additionally, Jill’s career focus and achievements emphasize her commitment to environmental protection, public engagement and education."

Arboretum CFO and vice president of finance James S. Fawley will serve as interim president starting Sept. 30 and until Koski comes on board in late November.

Outgoing president Donnelly said, "Jill is a tree advocate who strongly values the scientific work of The Morton Arboretum. She believes in the power of nonprofit organizations to change the world and continues to dedicate her career to such causes."
