A McHenry County judge ruled he must remain detained, citing prior protection-order issues and a high assessed risk of reoffending while the case proceeds.
• Organizers say 100-150 people carry umbrellas during Pride-hosted protest against Flock cameras in Woodstock (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Hundreds of McHenry County residents, including many from Woodstock, rallied with rainbow umbrellas on Woodstock Square to protest Flock Safety surveillance cameras and push the city to cancel its contracts. Organizers say over 1,300 of their 2,000-plus petition signatures come from McHenry County, while city officials defend the cameras as key public-safety tools with strict data rules.
