Kindergarten Registration at Mokena Elementary School

Mokena Elementary School will conduct Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, March 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for students with last names beginning with A-K and 7 to 8:30 p.m. for students with last names beginning with L-Z. Registration will take place at 11244 Willowcrest Lane, Mokena. Registration packets may be picked up that evening or beginning Monday, March 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the MES office.

Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2015, and residents of Mokena Public School District 159, to be eligible for Kindergarten during the 2015-2016 school year. Parents must provide an original state birth certificate at the time of registration. Birth certificates are available from the county clerk in the county where the child is born.

Parents must provide three pieces of evidence verifying residency within Mokena School District 159 boundaries, one from Category I and two from Category II.

• Signed and Dated Lease
• Mortgage Papers
• Closing Papers/Proof of Closing Date
• Loan Statement

Category II

• Gas/Electric/Water Bill (most recent)
• Driver’s License/State ID (most recent)
• Vehicle Registration (most recent)
• Vehicle Insurance (most recent)
• Home/Apt. Insurance Papers (most recent)
• Voter Registration
