L-W East Donates Wheelchair Basketball Proceeds to LWSRA

Lincoln-Way East’s Student Council raised $933 at its annual Wheelchair Basketball fundraiser last month. The money will be donated to the Lincoln-Way Area Special Recreation Association (LWSRA).

“Our students and staff really enjoy participating in this event because they know the money is going to a great cause,” said Lincoln-Way East teacher and event chair Laura Rycyna. “The LWSRA is a great organization that provides exceptional services to people in our community with special needs.”

The money was raised from admission to the game, t-shirt sales, and concession sales with the help of the Boosters.
