“We believe that every student at Lincoln-Way should use the four years of high school to develop skills, interests, and abilities that will lead them to a career they will pursue with passion, and understand how to meet their learning needs at the post-secondary level,” said Karen Murphy, Pupil Personnel Director at Lincoln-Way North High School.

“This program will help students and their families get started in that process,” said Dr. Mark Cohen, principal of L-W North.

About fifteen college representatives from the Admission Offices and Offices of Disability Services, will be attending the college fair at North.

Representatives from the United States Marines and National Guard will also be in attendance as will representatives in the College Fair from Joliet Junior College. Joliet Junior College will be featuring their Career & Tech programs as well as the StAR Program through the JJC Office of Disabilities.

“As in the past, we are thrilled about the break-out sessions. These sessions will include speakers, who have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in some type of post-secondary program. They will present information about how to navigate programs along with ideas and suggestions on how to utilize support in these settings, based on their own experience.

For the last four years, this has been one of the most popular sections of the evening,” said Mary Harrison, Director of Special Services for the Lincoln-Way High school District 210.
