Mokena Students To Present At Tech Demonstration
The 29th annual Tech Student Technology Demonstration will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at the Illinois State Capital Building in Springfield.
MOKENA, IL — Mokena Intermediate School will present at the Tech 2019 Student Technology Demonstration. According to the district, the 29th annual showcase will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at the Illinois State Capital Building in Springfield.
Students, including District 159 students, will show the public and members of the Illinois State Senate and House of Representatives how technology is being used in the classroom to increase student engagement and improve achievement, the district said.
Mokena Intermediate School will present "Green Screen, and Youtube, and Student Council - Oh My!" during an afternoon session. The Mokena students will speak to legislators and other students about their project.

According to the district, Tech 2019 is presented by Illinois Computing Educators, a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to leadership in education through technology.
