Cheap Way to Go Zoom Without a Lot of Cash, or Video 101

Quick updates to give you more zoom per mile.

All computers (desktops, not laptops) typically have some type of starter video, either on the motherboard or on a basic video card PCIe 16, made by Intel, Nvidia or AMD/ATI. These cards or chips use drivers to produce the video seen on the screen. To get more zoom for more or less free update the drivers by checking at www.intel.com, www.nvidia.com or www.amd.com, and get the latest update that matches your chipset/video.

Typically this will increase speeds up to five percent with just this simple update. Need more zoom? Then update your video card to a  newer card. This typcially doubles or in some cases is a huge increase of speed on your computer. (I bought a new card and went up 500 percent, and I only spent $99.) Where should I get it? Well, I use www.tigerdirect.com or www. newegg.com for my needs when I need updated hardware. Note: you'll need enough basic installed RAM, 2G or more.

Software updates are a simple fix to many speed issues, and having more RAM on the system tends to aid in this also, but always try and stay current on the drivers in your computer, and you 'll zoom faster then before for free! (Find out what chips are on your system by right-clicking on My Computer > Properties > Hardware >Device Manager > Display Adapters > (Right Click (Properties) on Video Card) > Drivers.)
