Many of you reading this blog are also on Facebook, using the fun tools and playing all those neat games. Well, be careful, someone is watching. Here is a few safe tips for you that can make life on the 'net safer.
1. Never use a password over and over again, specifically on banking sites. Try using a password that has @#$*&^ symbols and CAPS, and is a mixed group of values.
A password like "mydogname" is easy to figure out, but "@~My1Dog2Name3&^" is going to be harder.

2. Never use your real birthday on any site, unless banking requires it. I use the year but never the date.
3. Never share everything. Make your info harder to get at, or for sure know who is seeing it.

4. Know your friends. They maybe known, but are they really known? Do a little testing of the waters before giving them the key to everything.
5. Use alternate logins. For instance, "me123" is similar to "123me" and is easy to remember.
The Internet can be a fun place if you use safe surfing. Never open emails from people you don't know, never ever open files that look, well, just not right, and never ever go onto sites that well you wouldn't let your mom on, because 90 percent of those have scripts that can clean your computer quickly if you're not surfing safe.
