Cop on Top Day May 29

Officers will help raise money to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Montgomery Police Officers and Officers throughout the state will once again stake out Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops in May to heighten awareness and raise donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

In return for the police officers doing time at their stores, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $10,000 to the Torch Run fund. In addition, everyone who visits a Cop on Rooftop store from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 29 and makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a free donut.

“People who donate at least $10 will also receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and coupon for free coffee,” said Sgt. Liz Palko.

Over 24 years, The Montgomery Police Dept. has participated in raising funds for The Illinois Special Olympics. Contributions can also be mailed to COP ON TOP, Sgt. Liz Palko, Montgomery P.D. 10 Civic Center Ave. Montgomery, Illinois 60538. Please make checks payable to: Special Olympics Illinois.
