Cops Trick 13 Accused Johns In Reverse Prostitution Sting
Men allegedly set up liaisons with woman for sexual services through online classified ad, Aurora police say.
An undercover operation conducted by Aurora Police Department investigators on April 15 netted the arrests of thirteen men who were lured to an undisclosed Aurora hotel in a reverse prostitution sting.
Police planted fake ads on Backpage.com purportedly advertising sexual services for money with women.
Once the liaisons were arranged the men unwittingly showed up at the hotel, Aurora police said.

The men were arrested after they allegedly offered money in exchange for sexual services with a woman who they soon learned was an undercover police officer.

In addition to being arrested, the men’s vehicles were impounded in lieu of $500 to retrieve them.
Police are not disclosing the location of the sting in order to protect the integrity of future operations.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigationsassisted Aurora police in the operation.
