More than 20,000 food items have been donated to date as part of a Community Unit School District 308-led food drive to benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry.

Fans will also receive a raffle ticket for each can of food that they provide. There are a range of raffle prizes to be given away, including various gift cards to local restaurants and businesses, including: Chick Fil-A, Giordiano’s, McDonald’s, Red Robin, Sonic, the Popcorn Store and Home Depot, to name a few. There will also be three iPad Nano’s with $10 iTunes gift cards, donated by Meijer, to be given away at halftime of the football game.

More than 7,000 local residents in need visit the Kendall County Food Pantry each month. The food drive occurs at a critical time before the holiday season, when donations are not at their peak. For more information on the food drive, visit District 308’s previous web story.
