The public is invited to an open house in the community room of the Montgomery Police Department.
Residents can meet the village president, village trustees, department heads and staff members. They also will learn how the village serves residents. Tours of the police department and water treatment plant also will be offered.
The event also will include free paper shredding, prescription and used cell phone collection, car seat safety checks, a tree planting, free refreshments and giveaway items.
