Freezing Rain Advisory Issued for Friday Night, Saturday Morning
A freezing rain advisory has been issued for counties throughout northeastern Illinois.

Roadways could be dangerously slick tonight and into Saturday morning as a freezing rain is expected throughout the Chicago area.
A freezing rain advisory has been issued for counties throughout northeastern Illinois from 11 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Saturday. Counties under the advisory include Will, Kendall, DuPage, Cook, Kane and Lake, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered freezing rain showers are expected to develop closer to midnight on Friday and continue into early Saturday morning.
The National Weather is advising drivers that roads will become ice-covered and travel will become extremely hazardous on untreated roadways. Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads, slow down and use caution while driving.
