Wow! 15 years and our North Aurora Timely Talkers Toastmasters Club (http://www.timelytalkers.org) is stronger than ever. Help us celebrate our 15th anniversary on Wednesday, November 5 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at First State Bank, 75 S. Randall Road, North Aurora, IL 60543 – Clock Tower Plaza next to the Post Office.

Since 1999 the club has been dedicated to helping people become better speakers and leaders.

Timely Talkers Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to overcome their fear of public speaking and sharpen presentation skills,” says John Wesser, President Timely Talkers. “Other benefits include the opportunity to increase one’s confidence, build critical thinking skills and become an effective listener,” says John.

Two of the club’s notable members include John Wesser and John Jerrard. John Wesser is a retired naval officer and computer networking engineer. And John Jerrard is a 5-year member of Timely Talkers and has completed 40+ prepared speeches in the Competent Communication manual and five Advanced manuals.

John Jerrard comments “I am reaping numerous benefits from my Toastmaster skills, at work and at my professional, volunteer and educational organizations.”

Chartered with 20 members in 1999, Timely Talkers Toastmasters is located in District 54. Timely Talkers meets on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Wednesdays of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the First State Bank, Clock Tower Plaza on the corner of Oak Street and Randall Road in North Aurora.
