'If I Were Mayor, I Would' -- Montgomery Hosts Student Essay Contest
Contest is open to fourth- and fifth-graders.

Submitted by the Village of Montgomery:
Have you ever thought about what you might do if you were mayor of Montgomery? Do you have ideas on how to make Montgomery an even better place to live? Now is your chance to write up your ideas and possibly win a prize!
The Village of Montgomery is sponsoring an essay contest on the topic of “If I were mayor, I would…” The contest is open to 4th and 5th grade students who live in the Village of Montgomery and the essay should be around 250 words. Essays should focus on realistic ideas that the mayor of Montgomery could actually work to accomplish (plant more trees, build a teen center) rather than impossible suggestions (give everyone $1 million, end world hunger).
