John Shields Elementary School Teachers Serve up some Fun
Local teachers serve students and families on McTeacher's Night to raise money for the School
Sugar Grove | John Shields Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the school.
Teachers from John Shields Elementary School of Sugar Grove, volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, March 12th, at the Sugar Grove McDonald’s located on Route 47, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for the school.
Teachers Countryman, Dyche, and Howard tended the apple pie box during the night while several teachers sold the pies alongside them.

The proceeds from the sale of the pies went directly to benefit the school, as well as Fifteen percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales.
Ed Schmitt, Owner-Operator of the Sugar Grove McDonald’s, was delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.

“McTeacher’s Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Schmitt said.
“We are proud to serve the families of the John Shields Community through the McTeacher’s Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”
