Kendall County Sheriff's Dept. Creating Deputy Eligibility List

The Kendall County Sheriff Merit Commission is establishing an eligibility list for patrol and corrections deputies.

Criteria for eligibility:

• U.S. Citizen
• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• 21 years of age at time of hire (no age cap)
• High school diploma or GED
• Eyesight correctable to 20/20, Free of color blindness
• No felony or certain misdemeanor convictions from any jurisdiction (50ILCS705/6.1)
• Pass physical agility, written, interview, background investigation,
• psychological and medical test
• Residency – 25 mile radius of the Kendall County Public Safety Center within one year of date of hire
