Montgomery 18-Year-Old Charged With Possession Of Alcohol: Police

Wednesday, July 18

Failure to appear

Montgomery Police Department officials reported Danny Cruz, 47, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Kane County at 10:17 a.m., July 18, at his home in the 200 block of North Main Street. Police reported Cruz was arrested for failure to appear regarding a DUI, when officers showed up to his home due to him not going to work on-time. Police say Cruz was transported to MPD where he posted the require dbond for the warrant and then released with a pending court date.

Traffic, warrant arrest

MPD officials reported Brandon J. Colburn, 31, of the 45000 block of W. John Street, was arrested and cited for failure to yield during a left turn and for driving while license suspended at 9:31 p.m., July 18, at U.S. 30 and Horseman Trail. Police say Colburn also had an active warrant out of Dekalb County for failure to appear regarding aggravated driving while license revoked. Officials reported Colburn posted the required bond on the new traffic charges, was given a pending court date and was released into the custody of the Kendall County jail when he was unable to post bond on the warrant.

Thursday, July 19

Possession of alcohol by a minor

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported Samuel Alexander Marx, 18, of the 2400 block of Geneva Lane, Montgomery, was arrested of an adult misdemeanor around 1 a.m., July 19. Officials say Marx was charged at 1:19 a.m. for the unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

Saturday, July 21

Retail Theft

MPD officials said Jaime Ponce, 20, of the 500 block of S. LaSalle Street, Aurora, was charged with retail theft after it was reported he took merchandise from a business in the 1700 Block of Douglas around 1:30 p.m., July 21, and left without paying the full retail price. He was released on with a notice to appear court date in Aurora.

DUI

MPD officials reported Peter Young, of the 1300 block of Prairie, Aurora, was arrested after police stopped his car for having only one working taillight at U.S. 30 and Orchard at 2:25 a.m., July 22. Police said Young posted bond and was released with a pending court date.
