Montgomery to Hold Annual Community Garage Sale
Sale will benefit Historic Preservation Commission.
If you’re looking for a lot of good deals, and there will be a lot of them, then you’re going to want to check out Montgomery’s Community Garage Sale May 14, 15 and 16.
Montgomery Village Hall Executive Assistant and Deputy Clerk Debbie Buchanan said people who enjoy garage sales really like the community garage sales because it lets them come to a town where they know there will be a lot of them.
“We provide the map, there’s an ad for everyone and they can kind of mark off their route,” Buchanan said. “It does attract a lot of people.”

“I got a call today from someone who’s looking for books about chess,” she said. “You get people really looking for really specific things.”
If the garage sale is rained out, rain dates have been set for May 21, 22 and 23. The decision to move to those dates is solely the responsibility of each seller.
The community garage sale has been held since 2008 and started as, and remains, a fundraiser for the Historic Preservation Commission.
