New Fun, Old Favorites at the Kendall County Fair
The new events feature an ice cream eating challenge and shotgun karaoke.

Summer is the time for spending quality time with family and friends, and what better place to do that than the annual county fair?
The 2015 Kendall County Fair will be Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2 at the fairgrounds in Yorkville.
“We have lined up a four-day weekend of food, fun and favorites,” said Wayne Mundsinger of the Kendall County Fair Association. “Whether you want to take the family to the fair for animals and carnival rides, or spend an evening of food and music with friends, the Kendall County Fair has something for everyone.”

New features include: the Cooks of Kendall County Competition, the Ice Cream Eating Challenge sponsored by Culver’s, Shotgun Karaoke, Theme Photo Contest and more.
Back by popular demand are the carnival rides, petting zoo, truck and tractor pulls, and the western speed horse show. Plus, check out hundreds of projects from community members in the Open Show, and from Kendall County 4-H’ers in Smith 4-H Hall, the Education Building and the livestock buildings and tents. The annual 4-H Livestock Auction will start at 6 p.m. Saturday , Aug. 1.

In the evenings, visitors can enjoy the sounds of the Ethan Bell Band on Thursday, Recycle the Day on Friday, and both the Cool Rockin’ Daddies and Whiskey Romance on Saturday.
“We invite you to join us for the 23rd annual Kendall County Fair,” Mundsinger said. “Fueled by the work and dedication by many local volunteers, the Kendall County Fair strives to bring together friends, family and community to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of summer.”
The 2015 Kendall County Fair will be Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2 at the fairgrounds in Yorkville, about one mile west of the intersection of Illinois Routes 71 and 47.
