Open House Slated for Kendall County Transportation Plan

Event is Aug. 19 at the Kendall County Courthouse.

The Illinois Valley Public Transportation will host an open house regarding transportation options for Kendall, Grundy and LaSalle counties from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Kendall County Historic Courthouse, 110 West Madison St. in Yorkville.

Additional open houses will be held in LaSalle and Grundy counties.

The Illinois Valley Public Transportation Study was initiated in early 2014 to assess, analyze and plan for enhanced public transportation options to residents in Kendall, Grundy and LaSalle Counties. The purpose of the public open houses are to present the study process and to gather public input regarding mobility and ways to address these needs while developing the vision for the future of the public transportation in the Illinois Valley Region.

The meeting will be presented in an open house format and attendees are welcome to attend anytime between 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the brief audio-visual presentation, review exhibits, provide comments and meet with study team representatives on a one-on-one basis.
