Tickets Available for Kendall County 4-H Pork Chop Dinner

Event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. July 18 in Yorkville.

Mark your calendars for the annual Kendall County 4-H Foundation Pork Chop Dinner Saturday, July 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Yorkville. Enjoy a savory meal and support local 4-H Youth Development programs and scholarships through the Kendall County 4-H Foundation.

The dinner will be held at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, on Route 71, one mile west of the intersection with Routes 47. The Foundation is a non-profit organization serving the 4-H Youth Development Program, in cooperation with University of Illinois Extension. All proceeds will help support 4-H Youth Development scholarships and the community programs provided by the University of Illinois Extension in Kendall County, including Home and Community Education Association, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists and Nutrition and Wellness.

Prices are as follows: a two-chop dinner is $12, one-chop dinner is $11, and a pork-burger meal is $7. Prior to July 7, tickets are available from Kendall County 4-H members and the Kendall County Extension office.

The Kendall-Grundy Pork Producers generously donate their time to prepare the meal and grill the delicious fresh pork chops and pork-burgers. University of Illinois Extension Council and 4-H Foundation members, Master Gardeners, 4-H Club leaders and 4-H members all donate their time to set up, serve, and clean up after the meal.

There are a limited number of pork chop dinner tickets available at the door for an extra dollar charge per ticket. There will be dine-in and to-go service available.
