
Lunafest, a fundraising festival aimed at promoting awareness about women’s issues, will return to Oswego Village Hall with showings at 2:45 and 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
The event, hosted by the Village of Oswego Cultural Arts Commission, “highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers,” according to a press release from the village.
This year’s films range from animated films to fictional drama, and cover topics including women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.

Proceeds from the Feb. 28 film fest, created and funded by Luna nutritional bar company, will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and Mutual Ground. So far, Lunafest has raised more than $757,000 for the fund and more than $1.7 million for other women’s non-profit organizations.
Red Carpet Soiree receptions are at 2 and 7 p.m., followed by showings of Lunafest films at 2:45 and 7:45 p.m.

Tickets are $20 per viewing and are available at village hall or at www.lunafest.org.
