Airhart Construction Concludes Home Sales At Several DuPage County Communities; Offers Four Immediate and Early Move-In Homes
New Homes
There are distinct advantages to being one of the final buyers to move into a new home neighborhood. The neighbors are plentiful and construction activity is at a minimum. The quality of the builder constructing your home is evident and there is not as long of a wait to move in.
The first of four homes Airhart is offering is a move-in ready home at Fisher Farm in Winfield. Fisher Farm provides the carefree advantages of living in a low-maintenance attached home in a single-family home. The Oakfield Prairie is a three-bedroom, two and one-half bath Prairie style home with a stone elevation, a brick paver driveway and patio that backs up to a pond. Interior features include hardwood flooring, a one and one-half story foyer and nine-foot ceilings throughout. The basement even has a nine-foot ceiling; ideal in case the homeowner wants to finish it later on. The kitchen provides an open layout, an oversize island, maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances and blends seamlessly into the Great Room where a tray ceiling expands to 11 feet. Priced at $479,000 the Oakfield Prairie provides 1,889 square feet of living space.
While Airhart Construction has sold two-thirds of its homes at Fisher Farm, there are still many golf course and pond view homesites on which to build. Homes range in size from two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half baths, with base prices ranging from $ 359,000 to $ 630,000 for 1,353 to 3,285 square feet.

The second early move-in home is scheduled for Apr/May delivery at College Station, a community of 14 homes located at the intersection of Blanchard and Avery within an established Wheaton neighborhood that is across the street from the Illinois Prairie Path and a park and within a 1 ½ block walk to the College Ave. train station.
The McAllister is a Greek revival style home with a large front porch, three bedrooms, two and one-half baths and is priced at $450,745. This 2,038 square foot home includes nine-foot ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout the first floor, custom furniture kitchen cabinets with under cabinet lighting, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The luxury bath has a custom walk-in shower and there is a second floor laundry, lower level family room and the exterior is professionally landscaped and maintained.

Besides the McAllister, there are only two additional homesites remaining at College Station with home packages starting from $359,000 to $409,900. Rooftop decks are also a unique and popular option at College Station and are approximately 200 square feet in size.
In downtown Wheaton, Courthouse Square has two rowhomes under construction that will be ready for a July/August move-in. Both are the Wheaton design and include an elevator; but that is where the similarities end as one offers a traditional look; the other more contemporary.
The first Wheaton rowhome at 341 E. Liberty Dr. is a 3,055 square foot, three-bedroom, three and one-half home priced at $693,700. This traditional home features nine-foot ceilings on the first floor, mill-made staircases, white painted woodwork, and 5” hickory plank wood floors throughout the first floor and retreat area. The top floor features a retreat area with a bath, family room and wet bar. In the kitchen, cabinets are custom furniture grade; there are stainless steel appliances including a double oven, granite countertops, tile backsplash, a four-foot bay window and a large work island.
Next door at 343 E. Liberty, the metropolitan-styled Wheaton rowhome is an end unit with plenty of windows. Priced at $699,200, this Wheaton has a walk-out basement and private rooftop terrace that overlooks downtown Wheaton.
It has the same amenities as its traditional counterpart but with more of a sleek look namely a rich ebony stain on the kitchen cabinets, Revere Pewter color wall paint, urban-feel appliances including a microwave drawer, and a counter depth refrigerator. The kitchen opens onto a private sunken patio.
Located in downtown Wheaton, Courthouse Square has an onsite workout facility and outdoor lap pool. All rowhomes have brick driveways, walkways and a rooftop terrace. Elevator options are available and all homes include a roughed-in shaft for an optional or future elevator. The model at 325 E. Liberty is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday (other times by appointment). Other to-be-built rowhomes in future phases can be completed by the end of 2015.
Two additional Airhart communities: Mackenzie Place in Wheaton and Prince Crossing Farm in West Chicago are winding down their sales efforts.
Located one block south of Geneva Rd. and President St. in Wheaton, Mackenzie Place is a community of 36 luxury townhomes set on among extensive landscaping with two ponds and a fountain. One site for two townhome units remains at Mackenzie Place and buyers can select from four designs ranging from two to four bedrooms, two to four baths with base prices ranging from $479,800 to $626,200. Homes feature brick construction, brick patios, custom kitchen cabinetry, stainless steel appliances including a double oven, granite countertops, a full basement, custom woodwork and trim. Options depend on the home selected, and can include a private elevator, custom bookcases and a screened-in porch. Homeowners are able to walk to the College Avenue Metra station.
Three homesites remain at Prince Crossing Farm in West Chicago. Home and site packages range from $375,500 to the mid- $500,000 range. This community has a trail system throughout and school age children can walk to Wheaton Academy High School.
