Candidates for Village, Library Trustee Positions to be Nominated at Town Hall Meeting

The Civic Betterment Party of Glen Ellyn will hold its Town Meeting on December 6, at the Civic Center, 535 Duane Street. Citizens will have the opportunity to hear from and vote for candidates for Village Trustee and Library Trustee.

Candidates who are nominated at the Town Meeting will run in the Illinois municipal consolidated election in the Spring. There are three Village Trustee positions and four Library Trustee positions open in the Spring election, all positions are four year terms.

Candidates to be presented at the Town Meeting by the Civic Betterment Nominating Committee are as follows:

For Village Trustee: Carol Fontana, John Kenwood, Peter Ladesic and Mark Senak.

For Library Trustee: Jill Clouse, Christopher Crawford, Jose de Leon, Molly McGinnis Knapke, Barbara Rundell and Robert Wulffen.

Early voting at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center continues on December 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. and December 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. To vote you must be a resident of Glen Ellyn, 18 years old and otherwise qualified to vote in the spring election.

The Civic Betterment Party is a non-partisan volunteer organization founded to facilitate the nomination of candidates for Village elective offices. The party has no platform and does not support any specific policy objectives. The objective of the Civic Betterment Party is to provide the means for citizens to run and serve the Village in elective office without having to raise funds or create a campaign organization. The party is also exclusively funded thro
